Environmental Protection Paragliding and nature protection in the Berchtesgadener Land Paragliding and nature protection in the Berchtesgadener Land
From March to the end of July, the golden eagles around the brood area are very sensitive concerning intruders. Even paragliders and hang gliders are not welcome in front of the eagle’s nest. That's why the rare birds respond by leaving the nest, practicing the so-called "garland flight" or just stop nesting.

Where and when do I annoy, where don't?!
In Bavaria, only every fifth couple is hatching successfully. That's why every additional unsuccessful hatch is fatal concerning the population. YOU can help the golden eagle to bring up new blood in the Berchtesgadener Land by avoiding (distance > 1500') the areas that are marked red on the page adler-info. Thank you very much in the name of the golden eagle.
